Learning YouTube While Having Fun
Producing YouTube videos has been a lot more interesting than I expected.
There’s the technical side: learning about analytics, retention, and how the algorithm works, but at the end of the day, I’m still making content I’d want to watch myself. I’m always experimenting with techniques and formats, but I’m not trying to chase trends that don’t resonate with me.
It’s definitely been a learning process, but I’ve been having a lot of fun with it! My channel just hit 1.1k views this week and I’m stoked!

Channel stats as of 1/29/2026
I just started a week ago I’m genuinely happy with where I’m at. Growth feels steady, and more importantly, it feels earned. I’m learning as I go instead of forcing results!
Alongside the main channel, I’m also working on a behind-the-scenes channel! That’s where I share more of my actual production process: what it looks like when I’m working, experimenting, and figuring things out in real time, especially with creating the instrumentals. It’s less polished, but more honest. You get to see how ideas come together, especially when I’m working with my hardware setup and recording gear along with some snippets of work that are in the works.
This whole project has been a long time in the making. I didn’t do it earlier because, honestly, I wasn’t ready creatively and mentally. I needed that small push and once I started, things began to move naturally.
I’m glad I finally did it!
There’s a saying that the best time to plant a tree was yesterday, and the second best time is now. It’s cliche but that’s how this feels. I’m excited to see where it goes, but I’m also content just being here, doing the work, and enjoying the process.
